ford focus heater problem ?

I recently purchased a 2008 Ford F ocus. the heater will not blow hot air unless I am driving sown the road. When I come to a stop or slow down in traffic it gets cold again. What causes this and how can it be fixed/

erco doet het en de aanjager ook maar geeft geen warme lucht sterf het af van de kou ook al niewe termostaat geplaats garage zegd dat het siysteem verstopt is maar heb koelvloeistof verwisseld en ging 5 liter in weet het niet meer

01 focus is blowing cold air only any ideas on how to fix it ?

I have just managed to fix the blower in my 2004 Ford Focus. Only worked on number 4 which cuts out the AC. Garage quoted me £40 for part and £40 for labour. I brought a second hand resistor from these people (very helpful and only £10 plus VAT) http://www.breakeryard.com/view_supplier_feed...

. Arrived next day. To replace the old one you just remove the 3 screws under the glove box and pull the box out. In front of you will be a big barrel which is the fan. To the bottom right of this you will see the old resistor. This is held in by one screw. Remove this and pull out the fixed wires. Put in the new part, re attach the wires and put the screw back. Job done. Should take about 15mins.

My Focus heater is only blowing on the 4 setting is this the same problem

Remove glovebox, look to the right rear of the heater unit for multi plug , unplug and remove rheostat.
