Stuart is living up to his name Stupid!! it's obviously a Ford Mondeo Zetec! Lizzy you need to get the car connected to a code reader this will give the fault code that will lead to the cause of your problem, try your local independant garages or most tyre & exhaust places can do this and it will be over half the price of the Ford main stealerships around £30
