Mend Spear & Jackson 1800W Electric Wont Work

electric chainsaw wont work?

i have a spear & jackson 1800w electric chinsaw that wont work at all,the fuse in the plug is ok & nothing seems to be broke..but when i plug it in & press the trigger nothing happens.no noise at all?there are no electrical burning smells,so i'm at a loss for what to do...help!

The chainbrake safety switch is activated, theus cutting out all the electrics. Pull back the chainbrake lever and it will disengage and everything will work.

sounds like one of the brush wires has broken
