rinse drawer won't empty in my hotpoint washing machine?

the drawer in my hotpoint washing machine will not empty. i've cleaned it out and cleaned in and around the drawer, i've put the washer on a hot wash without anything in the drawer, when the wash cycle has finished there is still conditioner in it, i've not overloaded the drawer,

If the draw is all nice and clean and the siphon tube is free from congestion then it will probably one of a few things either the fabric conditioner valve is faulty, or the holes inside the soap draw compartment are blocked. It is unlikely but possible that you have a wiring fault. If you are sure the small holes in the top of the dispenser compartment are clear then I would probably go with the faulty valve. Depending on which model you have it is possible to test the valves by switching over the wires but as I do not know which one you have I cannot advise you on this issue.
