Mend Hotpoint CTD40 Top Off Tumble

HOW DO I GET THE TOP OFF MY HOTPOINT CTD40 TUMBLE DRIER?

my on/off button is stuck on my hotpoint ctd40 tumble
drier. How do I get the top off?

Hi, the top on the ctd40 is a bit stiff.
Undo the two screws on the back of the machine (one on each side of the back/top corners.

Once you have done that, go around to the front of the machine and with the heel of your hand, give the front left and right corners a good thump towards the back.
That should do the trick!

well I cant get mine off either. Does it need a little 'brute' force? Barbie

remove the two screw at the back of the machine and give the front of the lid a shove with the back of your hand and it will push the lid back from the retaining clips and it will lift off, easy!
