Rover 25 W reg. Ventilation not working?

Hi Thomas. Just bought a V reg 25 1.4il for my son, and the same problem is occuring. I took it to the garage this morning and before I could finish explaining, they said " the fan is only blowing on settings 3 and 4". They explained that I needed a new resistor and ordered one from Rover. I think its going to cost about £50, but I would sooner get a new one for my son, than one from a breakers yard. (you could however get one from a yard if your confident enough-won't hurt to try)
Ive been looking for a parcal shelf, as they are too pricey new.
