assuming elec dryer ,check your breaker.use volt meter make sure 220 volts at plug.if so check plug connections on dryer for burnt wirers.if ok use ohm/volt meter to check contiunty at heating element.to do so unplug dryer,get to element ,remove one wire that goes into element,set meter to ohoms.touch the two meter probes together.you should see some movment on meter and reading should stop at all o.ooos or close.so when you put your probes on the element you should get the same kind of reading which is a continous circut.if the element is bad your reading would look the same [on the meter],as if you held your probes apart 1.ooo,which is an open curcit or in this case element.ps check your dryers exust it is most important tobe free flowing .for this can cause element problems and long dry times.you can do it yes we can
