Mend Peugeot 306 Today Front Drivers

Knocking sound on Peugeot 306?

Today I heard Knocking sounds comeing from the front drivers side probably near the wheel area, I think there might be a problem with the cv joint or driveshaft.

Any opinions? Thanks.
