Mend Samsung SR-S2028 Fridge Freezer Compressor

Samsung SR-S2028 Fridge Freezer - Intermittant Thermostat?

The thermostat on this side by side fridge freezer pulses the compressor for several minutes before finally making up its mind to switch the compressor on properly! The unit is working but I am worried that the compressor will not put up with this treatment for long. Is it the theromostat and if so where is it located?
