How can I fix the noise in my Hoover 700LC?

I jut recently came back from camp and my clothes were sandy and had alot of dirt on them. I threw my clothes into the washing machine and I went away for awhile. When I came back there was a really loud noise each time the machine span. I'm not sure what happened? Could it be the sand or dirt from my clothes? Or is something inside the machine broken? Help needed urgently please~
