Which HT leads do I need for a 1998 R Vw Polo 1.4 ? ?

Which HT leads do I need for a 1998 R VW Polo 1.4 please? Is it an 8 v 12 v or 16 v? I can't find any reference to this in my handbook and they need replacing asap, thanks :-)
