Hoover 920 not emptying?

Our Hoover 920 washing machine gets through the wash stage but when it comes to drain, we have no action. Checked the internal water level indicator pipe is not blocked, and even tried swapping the pump from another washing machine, but seems the pump just doesn't want to empty the water out. That's where the cycle stops and just sits there full of water forever...
