Mend Whirlpool Remove Detergent Clean Drawer

How do I remove the detergent dispenser. AWG995?

I want to remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer on my Whirlpool AWG995 washer/drier.
The instruction manual says :
" - Pull out the drawer as far as possible
- Remove the drawer "
How do you release the drawer in order to remove it ???

Replacing the drawer says :
" - First locate the rib at the upper rear right hand corner into the slot behind the control panel.
- Position the drawer so that it slides into the left hand slot and give a push. The drawer should now slide in easily. "

Maybe I could get the drawer back in if I knew how to remove it in the first place!!!

If it is purely to remove the drawer for cleaning then pull as far as it will go. Feel underneath, slightly left of centre where the sloping meets the flat bottom. The ridge has a little notch in it that will lift if you press upwards on the ridge and pull out gently at the same time. Push up harder and tug harder a little at a time until it eventually gives way. Replacing is simply a case of pushing back in.

Good luck.
