Mend Whirlpool AWM 328 Washer Front Detergent

why does Whirlpool AWM 328 washer leak from front?

Water seems to come out of the detergent drawer and track along the facia eventually pooling on floor. Why does this happen and what can be done to fix it? It seems to occur only when the machine has been put through 2 or 3 cycles in succession.

Soap TABLETS caused the intermittant blockages in our machine, which resulted in the backflow and leak.

Don't use tablets in this model!!!

unused soap powder collects and hardens at the rear of the drawer, causing backflow.Remove the drawer and clean it and the cassett it fits in.
