Changing bath hot tap washer?

I know how to change the washer, my problem is I have a Vaillant turbomax plus combi boiler. Do I need to turn the boiler off? How do I do that if I need to? Thanks Jen

turn the boiler off. turn the mains water stop tap off and turn hot and cold taps on at lowest point, when water stops running you can change your washer
