Mend Gardenline Chainsaw Electric Repair

No power to my electric gardenline chainsaw?

I used it on monday but today no go it did not make a noise ,the brushes seam fine. There is no click on the top switch it it worth stripping down or do you different.

The chain saw wont start if the safty sheild at top front of handle is not in the operating position.
Hope this info helps, ( I have the same chain saw ) and found out thats why mine did not start.

it sounds like the switch is stuck it is worth a go at stripping down just be carefull when doing it or hit the switch a few times it might click back.

1) check the FUSE in the hedge trimmer plug (2) if using an EXTENSION CABLE check the fuse in its plug (3) check the thermal reset button if the EXTENSION REEL has one. if all OK then start to strip and test for a BROKEN wire could be on either the phase(brown) or the (neutral) blue wire.
