Mend Hoover PE235 Machine Fill

how do I convert PE235 Hoover Washing machine to cold fill only?

I only have plumbing for cold fill and have only connected the cold fill pipe, however the cycle gets stuck and I think its trying to hot fill, what do i need to do to make it cold fill only?

Hoover Hoover PE235 Household Appliances, Washing Machines Hoover Machine Fill

Connect both hoses to a y piece so both valves are fed by cold water.
