why won't my Renault Laguna 1.9i 2002 car start (it uses a card key)?

my laguna 2003 model starts for about 30 seconds and then cuts out and dont have the slightest idea what wrong,it shows on the computer number 4 injection fault... can somebody please shed light on what the problem might be.. thank you

hello ive just had the same problem what it is is the card reader is broke.renault wanted £150 got mine from ebay £50 secondhand works fine. hope this have been a help 2u

If card is definitely not damaged and battery is good, try the following:
Take the card reader out. Place the card in the reader and squeeze the body of the reader. If this gets things working, then place some packing above card reader when replacing to keep the pressure. This worked for me.

it might be as fault with the reader
remove the reader and take plug out then replace plug and try it again
