Mend Renault Laguna 2.0 RT Problem Ignition Engine Car

Renault laguna 2.0 RT will not start?

Hi,

MY Laguna will not start. I turn the key (1) and the ignition self test lights come on. I turn it to start and there is a click and nothing happens. Not even a hint of a sound trying to turn engine over. No known problems with starter motor. Can anyone help....please....I have only had the car a week. :-(

I know it is not the battery as I have tried a new one.
I will try as you suggested, but if this fails, what else could it be/should I try?

Flat battery or starter motor stuck. T free the starter try puttin it in gear (without ignition on) and rocking the vehicle back and forwards.
