how can i fix my renault laguna?

sometimes my car won't start from the key. it just clicks and i have to give it a little push. then other times it will start first time. sometimes the ignition lights stay on and other times they will go off, once it starts it works perfect. could you please tell me what the problem is and what i can do to fix it please.
