How can I clean my candy aquaviva 1000?

I just moved into a flat with a candy aquaviva 1000 washing machine. I can't find an instruction manual and I don't know where the filter is to clean it. Also I'd like to remove the drawer to clean it as it's full of dried washing powder and other nasty balck gunk, but it doesn't seem possible to remove it without breaking it. Is there another way to clean the drawer?

Filter locations

There are 3 possible places to look, (as each machine model is made differently)
1) If machine has a square flap fitted on the front filter maybe located behind this. (No luck try next one)
2) It could be located behind the front lower kick panel (remove panel to see). (No luck it’s definitely in the last one)
3) It is located inside the sump hose, this is the big black hose that is attached to the bottom of the outer drum.
IN ALL CASES be prepared for WATER SPILLAGE old towel will be useful


Most soap drawers you pull out till resistance is felt, then depress the plastic catch and pull at the same time the draw will now come free to clean.
