baxi solo 250 pf when hot water switched on radiators come on as well why?

The reason that the radiators are coming on with your hot water is that the divertor valve is stuck and requires replacement. this is not a big job and should take no more than 30 mins to 1 hour to replace. The valve should cost no more than 50-60 pounds.

Are all the rads getting hot or only the ones upstairs.The system may be gravity fed,if so the only way to stop the upstairs rads from getting hot may be to turn them off manually.If they are all getting hot,including the downstairs you will have a faulty motorised valve somewhere on the system letting water thro it.That may need either replacement or the motor could have been jammed in the open position meaning the synchron motor needs replacing.Hope this helps.
