How can I find a seal for my Thorn Olympic 38/50F ?

I have an old gas boiler , a Thorn Olympic 38/50F and need it serviced. The plumber says that he is unable to complete the job as he needs to replace the seal and he can’t get one. What is the seal and how can I go about finding one for my boiler?
