Why do we have no hot water?

I also have a combi boiler with a similiar problem and have been told it requires a gas valve and they are obsolete for a worcester 9.24. this is first repair needed and I have been paying maintenance for all these years. I feel angry we are over 70yrs old and think it should be fixed. good luck with yours
