With this kind of fault i suprised you have no engine fault code light on.If as I suspect you do then diagnostic code read required.Trying to fix this without valid fault codes is pot luck at best(expensive).That said,sudden total shut down coupled with time related restart usually is electrical/heat related.Next time it happens check for spark at main lead.
