hotpoint mistral plus fridge freezer 8596?

My freezer temp is at -2 the fridge temp is going up to +19 i have open the back lower panel and the fan is very slow to turn is this the problem

I have replaced the fan motor which is now spinning fast at a cost of £48 this seems to have fixed the problem the fridge temp is droping so is the freezer so far so good.
