i have a mtd yard machine, model m660f, that has a 6 speed on the go transmission. while in gear it will surge and make a grinding noise like the gears are slipping, any suggestions?
Check your fluids. If they are ok then that would lead me to believe that gears are worn and need replacement (grinding noise) Go to mtdproducts.com and look at there trouble shooting guides. they usually give helpful info
