Hi Lisa.
I'm in the U.K. and i don't Know that machine so this may or may not be of help to you. The softener is dispensed using a siphoning action and a common reason for the fault you describe is simply a blockage.
Remove the drawer and take it to the sink. Remove the insert from the softener compartment, hopefully on the bottom of the insert there will be a small tube which sits over another small tube in the drawer itself.
Slowly run some water into the tube in the drawer and see what happens. If it fills up and just sits there then thats your problem, its blocked, (it should just run right through and out the back of the drawer). Just run some hot water through it for a while, give it a little poke with something, or hold it close to the tap to try and blow it clear. It doesn't take much and you will know its clear when the water runs straight through and out the back. If your set up does not use the two tubes then there will be an exit point in the softener compartment somewhere, just check and clear that in the same way.
Fingers crossed, hope that helps, and have a nice day.
