I sent my dock to Invebo.com on their 3 day service. I can't fault them on comms the repair and the dock came back polished like new.

I had the same problem. I have broken my connector twice. The first time I fitted a board that always gave a buzz when on pause. When it broke again I bought a charge upgrade from Invebo.com. Guess what no buzz on pause!!

I have the BOSE sounddock with the aux/audio line-in in the back. Now it seems that it has stopped working. Does anuyone now of this problem and hove to solve it? Maybe someone sells a new jack? I dont even know if it is possible to get in there in the back.

Button design in the UK is the place to go for bose repair, they can be contacted on 01189 242564.
So much better , quicker and cheaper service than the useless bose customer service !!!!
They managed to do the repair in 2 days for £30, a big difference with the 10 days and £75 that unhelpful bose wanted...
In conclusion, if you do have to repair your broken sounddock, check these guys out, if you have to buy a sound system for your ipod/ iphone, avoid bose and go for this instead:

There is a place inthe UK that offers a module replacement service. You send them the board and they send it back in a couple of days with a new connector board fitted. It cost me for 32 Euros. The telephone number is 01189 242564

So I just discovered that if your sounddock doesn't play and the prongs on the ends are unevenly worn (i.e. one is snapped or worn partially off) that I could sand down those two end prongs so that the ipod again fits firmly and level across the sounddock base. And with that easy fix, it plays again.

I had this happen with four (yes, I bought them all at the same time or else I never would have bought a second one). My dad figured this out and now all four that were in the basement closet are working beautifully again.

I have the same problem as several others. Through wear the ipod has snapped off one of the tiny prongs on the soundock that goes into the ipod. So, no sound, even thought it doesn't really "look" broken. I tried to solder a new prong on, but it wasn't solid enough to last.
I want to unscrew and remove this front half moon connector and just replace it. Does anyone sell them? I heard rent-a-center service will replace it for $180. But there is no way the part costs that much!

my bose sound dock..portable version got water damage as my house got flooded during recent unexpected floods in sicily. I think it only got abou t an inch up but that was enough to mess up the small circuit board with external power and AV connector. it worked intermittently with no charge light on then I gently cleaned it and it stopped all together! th connection to iphone is ok...Any ideas...can I get a replacement board? thanks

Unless you have a special "solder station" to do SMT (Surface Mount Technology), you should only buy the completed (http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connector.htm?connboser.htm) circuit board from Ridax.
The SMT requires special equipment to solder the tiny, tiny wires to the circuit board. I have many years of electronics experience, but I cannot solder these tiny, tiny connections. I have watched several YouTube videos with no luck on being able to used standard solder methods. I now must order the $59 replacement board and scrap the recently purchased $19 repair kit.
I called a high end electronics manufacturing shop and they charge $50 an hour to re-solder my board.
Three of the items on the board are no problem, the docking connector is unbelievably tiny as the connections are only .5 gnats-azz apart.

My Bose Sounddock works great. I just damaged the power cord and it is completely ruined (the connector of the power cord that plugs into the back of the Sounddock is completed destroyed).

Is there a way I can get a replacement power cable for this? Thanks.
