where is the engine coolant temp sensor on 307 hdi 1.6?

i think i have a faulty temp sensor as when i park the fan comes on and drains the battery? where will i find the coolant temp sensor on car to replace it

Hi Matthew, the coolant temp sensor sends it's signal to the engine ECU and it decides when to put the "fan on" by sending out a signal to energise a relay. The sensor is in the coolant outlet housing on the left hand end of the cylinder head
