Mend Citroen Saxo Forte Temperature Radiator Overheating

whats wrong with my citroen saxo forte year 2000?

Hello Yesterday my cars coolant warning light came on. The fan is on constantly whilst driving and for a good while once parked. Ive topped up the water only took a litre and was full, the oil is fine, and my radiator isnt leaking. My husband felt the hoses on either side of the fan and it was hot on the incoming but cold on the out. is it possibly the temperature switch, the water pump or the radiator in your opinion? must take it tomorrow to be looked at but dont want to pay for something it doesnt need. so all help asap please

Sound like a air lock drain water n let the water run through a couple times and top up

ecu could need resetting, my light stayed on and fan came on and stayed on only when car was turned off, it was the ecu

temp light comes on fan is on constantly if i put my heater plower on it blows cold air ????? i,m thinking that it,s either my heater matrix is blocked or has my water pump broken as out going water pipe is hot and incoming is cold .......

OMG my saxo is having the same problem. radiator started leaking today and I had it changed and the garage phoned saying the fan and the temperature light would go out / stop!! What is wrong with the citroen saxo forte's that were build in 2000/2001!!! Maybe this is an 'old age' problem!

Any answers to this, as I am having the same problem.
Have changed the radiator plus the thermostat.

I hope you got your problem sorted out (not too expensively). I have exactly the same problem with my saxo forte year 2001. If you could let me know what your problem ended up being that would be a great help for me. My car is currently infirmed in a multi storey car park racking up the parking fees.
