How to wire an outside light?

there a couple of ways this light may have been wired,it is quite possible that your red and black are your full live and neutral, and your single red is the switch wire. That being the case the single red will go in the connector usually marked with an S/L the red and black will then go in the L and N connectors. However this may not be the case and the reds may be the other way around. I would strongly suggest you get an electrician to do the job as he will also test the circuit to ensure it is safe.

with out testin cables u could do more damage then good but it sounds like u have 2 reds one will b a permanant live feed n one red a switch live the blacknormally shoulb b your neutrall n earths green n yellow normally u only need switch wire n neutrall n earth put switch live in terminal marked live n black marked n eart in earth n normally u leave your light switch on in side house n the light works when get dark but without checking light it hard 2 saybut this is a rough guide how it works
