handbrake on T-reg ford fiesta getting stuck?

over the last few weeks my handbrake keeps getting stuck when i pull away from being parked. what happens is start engine lever the handbrake and the car dosnt want to move and it make a bump noise, but at the moment if i rev the car enough it seems to help to get the car from being stuck, and seems to be getting worse. what is wrong with my car, can it be fixed easy, if anyone can help, i would really appriciate it. thanks
