There are two small round plugs on either side of the outside of the drawer that need to be pulled out so that the front door skin can be slid downwards and removed. There is an earth wire that is attached to the front door skin that will have to be removed.
Once the drawer door skin is removed, there are two small plastic retaining clips in the front of the drawer slide runners that have to be removed. When they are removed, the whole drawer can be opened and lifted off the runners and moved to one side.
Be careful not to damage the attached hoses and wiring harness.
F1 errors are caused by water leaks allowing water to build up in the base of the dishwasher. Although this water can be cleaned up and the bottom dried with a hairdryer, the underlying cause will need to be fixed.
Usually it will be something to do with the lid not sealing properly either due to a faulty lid seal, or the motors that pull the lid down shut. In older models there is a small air pump motor that pumps up a hollow seal. Later models have an entire lid that is pulled down tight with motors. It can also be due to a damaged inlet or outlet hose, or even a leak from the base of the drawer itself.
Obviously all power should be disconnected before any disassembly takes place.
