is there a filter on the bosch wff1201 washing machine?

Yes. I have just bought a reconditioned WFF 1201, you need to remove the long metal plate on the machine front below the drum (has two screws which hold it at either end). The filter is lurking in there!!!!

At the bottom of the machine on the front, there is a plastic cover (remove by turning the plastic screws a quarter turn anti-clockwise and pull off cover). The filter is behind this cover on the left hand side. It is unscrewed by hand anti-clockwise. Tucked into the plastic cover, you should also find the spanner to adjust the feet on the washing machine.
