Mend Hotpoint Ice diamond Freezer Compartment Fridge

Ice forming around freezer compartment door?

I have a Hotpoint Ice diamond fridge with a small topside freezer compartment.
Ice seems to form around the entire outside edge of the freezer compartment. This usually starts with a few days of having been defrosted. After a while the ice starts to drip over the contents inside the fridge.
The door seems to be closing ok.
Does anyone know what the issue might be or how to fix it?
