My set is clicking on and off when i frist try to turn it on?

My Philips 27" is clicking on and off when I frist try to turn the set on. After a while it turns on. Model number 27PT54 3S37A

Had a similar problem on a set of mine. Sounds like the HT coil/circuit is on the way out. You'll find if the sets warm it will turn on okay. From cold its probably going over-current and switching itself off as you described.
