Mend Philips 36PW9308 TV Picture

philips 36pw9308 been left in damp house for 6 months?

i have a philips 36pw9308 tv thats was working perfectly but has been left in a damp house for 6 months and has not been used now moved tv and it now has overlaped the picture on the screen and will put it self in to stand by

my question is do i have to leave the tv to dry out longer i have left it over night and it took longer this morning to play up

The best option with any "damp" electronics is to leave it to dry out as slowly as possible and DO NOT keep switching it on as any "damp" components will possibly break down + fail altogether.Leave it in the corner of a warm room for a few days...the longer the better.
I`ve met this situation several times and so far the above has worked ( even for an IPOD that went swimming in the sea! Good Luck
