Servis Gem 800 has no fast spin?

My machine of at least 20 years old has is no longer able to fast spin leaving clothes soaking wet and resulting in me having to hand ring all the clothes before hanging them out to dry. Does anyone know of this error and can it be fixed with a spare part? I have a daughter of 2 and a half and a husband so we do need a resolution fairly quickly. The normal spin works fine. Any help would be appreciated. Di
