Opening the washing machine!?

I have had my Miele for nearly 18 years. It is great, but I cannot open the door after a wash!

Would suspect power module, on the early electronic machines.
Very expensive repair.....just use the manual door release (behind the filter flap), & be prepared to buy a new machine soon !
