when to replace a cam belt?

a VW use the same engine as vauxhall and normally its best to change not just your cam belt but the whole lot, all the pullys and everything. but... i'd say as long as its not change it needs changing 70,000 miles and then every 30,000 after that,
but try and get to your cam belt and it will tell you itself, if it looks worn then get it changed :-)
