My Hoover U3525 vacuum cleaner cuts out after a few minutes?

My Hoover U3525 vacuum cleaner cuts out after a few minutes. It did this after about one month of normal use. From browsing a couple of weeks ago I read it may be something to do with a faulty thermometer which cuts out the appliance unecessarily when it gets warm? I've browsed for a replacement thermometer type item but can't find anything - and wouldn't know how to replace the part either! Please help..

This machine may have a thermal cut out switch, that switches the power off when the motor gets too hot. This is usually fixed to the motor so its difficult to get to. Normally the secret is to keep all of the filters perfectly clean as the motor cooling air passes through them too.
