capaciter discharge ignition units are sealed for life with a god awful material to get outand are virtually unrepairable for most people.however ther is a company that advertises in the spares section of "motor cycle news"that sell pattern parts at a hell of a diference from main dealers.they also do rectifiers/regulators and such.sorry i cant remember their name or number.
