Ford Fiesta N reg 1996 Master key problem or System fault?

you may be able to swap transponder from old key and fit in new key [it is situated under red plastic cover in key ] this is providing your new key is a genuine ford one.take care when prising out- it is in a small glass tube . have known some one tape old key to ign key housing(the plastic ring round key slot ,behind column cowl)to be able to use with uncoded key,so they could take vehicle to local lock smith to recode all keys.
