Mend Frister Rossman 45 Position Not Mark

How do I change needle position on Frister Rossman 45 (not Mark II)?

On my Frister Rossman 45 I do not have a needle position control lever. How do I change the position? The only manuals I can find are the 45 Mark II, and I presume I have its predecessor.

Hello Helen,
When you take the top off the machine look at the long bar that connects to the needle bar, there should be one or two screws that you can slacken off to adjust the needle bar.
