12 h.p sears riding lawnmower?

I have a Sears 12 h.p. riding lawnmower. I put a new battery in it and the battery keeps on going dead after using it a few times. I charge the battery up and it will start and do the same thing. I would like to know if anybody knows what the problem is or where I can get a wiring/charging system diagram. My e-mail is fyustat@comcast.net. Thanks
