I had the exact thing happen to me. I lost my 2 favorite cd's, or so I thought. I took the unit out and started to dismantel. I finally got my cd's, but when I put it back in, all it said was initializing when I pushed the button for the cd player. At least it doesn't say cd reader error anymore. I think it must be something internal with the IC's or something because it all looked pretty good when I took it apart. If you need any help with taking it apart to get your cd's let me know...it took me a while. Good luck and if you find anything else out, please let me know.
