Mend eMachines T0857 Seconds Time Runs

How can I fix my emachine?

I have an emachine that has Windows XP. When I power on, the Windows will load normally in 30 seconds is highlighted, but when the time runs out nothing happens. It gives me the option to go back to the last known set up but, when you do that it still doesn't do anything. Can someone please help me?

Hi, Firstly try booting it up in safe mode, by pressing f8 whilst the pc boots up, if this works you can then go into windows and perhaps find a rectify the problem, If not, i would recommend backing up your data, then doing a system restore using the recovery CD which should have been provided when you bought the PC. If not then just re-install windows XP using a windows XP Disk and Re-install the drivers. If not and your near St Albans, Perhaps bring it into the shop, Which is EBS Computers, 90 Sandridge road (google EBS Computers), and we can find the problem and fix it for you :)
