Mend Canon ip5000 Paper Printer Error

Canon pixma ip5000 paper jam but no paper?

My Canon Pixma ip5000 will not take paper into feeder (well it goes in 2 inches then stops). The error message displayed says paper jam, but there doesnt seem to be any paper stuck anywhere. Is it rubbish quality paper I am using, or do I need tech help?

well mine dose the same thing just have to keep turning it on and off eventually it works for me.

Help! I have exactly the same problem. the Print Status Monitor reports a paper jam but there is no paper in the printer in any of the transport paths.
