how to fix my craftsman lawn mower?

How to get gas to flow when you press the red buttom.I have a craftman lawnmower it's a Eager-1 easy start 6.25 horse power.I went on vacation and left it outside and water got in it . I change the gas and wipe out the tank and take down carburettor and wipe out tank to,also shake the carburettor to get out any more water. I also change the red buttom which you use to prime the mower. Now no gas is going to the air filter. I put some in the filter and I got a start but it cut back off so I think the gas is now pumping. Can you help me pls.

the gas line must have somethine in it or the carb is dirty or bad gas
